The call for expression for the Junior Professionals in Delegation (JPD) Programme is open from the 3rd January 2017 until the 31st January 2017
The European External Action Service (EEAS) and the European Commission (EC) have established a high-level traineeship programme which gives an opportunity to highly qualified junior professionals from the EU Members State to work in the EU Delegations worldwide. The aim of the programme is to enable young people to gain a first-hand experience in the work of Delegations and an in-depth understanding of their role in the implementation of EU external policies.
Every 18 months, the EEAS and EC open a call for expression of interest. For the current round 2016-2017, there are 75 young professionals posted in different Delegations. Next call for applications, for the round starting in September/October 2017, will be published in January 2017.
The JPD programme is based on the:
- Joint Decision establishing a High Level Traineeship Programme in the Delegations and Rules Governing this Programme in Partnership with the Member States of the European Union (12.06.2012);
- Implementing Rules of the High Level Traineeship Programme further specifying the Decision (22.01.2014).
APPLICANTS ARE INVITED TO READ CAREFULLY BOTH DECISIONS BEFORE APPLYING.
