Zdzisław Krasnodębski elected Vice-President of the European Parliament

European Parliament elected Polish MEP Zdzisław Krasnodębski (ECR) as its Vice-President on 1 March 2018 with 276 votes in favour. He replaces Mr Ryszard Czarnecki.

Mr Zdzisław Krasnodębski has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014.  As Vice-President, he will now automatically become a member of the Bureau (President, 14 Vice-Presidents, 5 Quaestors), the body responsible for all matters relating to the internal running of Parliament.

The proposal to end his term of office was passed by an absolute majority (447 votes to 196) by the full House on 7 February.
