Jaroslaw Starzyk appointed Poland's representative at EU

Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski on Friday handed Jaroslaw Starzyk his presidential appointment to the post of Poland's Permanent Representative at the European Union, the Foreign Ministry reported.

Starzyk, a career diplomat, in the years 2008-2015 was Poland's ambassador to Switzerland. In 1999-2004 he worked at Poland's Representation at the EU.

Starzyk will replace Marek Prawda in early March. Prawda has been Poland's Permanent Representative at the European Union since 2012.
